Awesome compilation of rare studio sessions recorded in 1968 with amazing sound quality from the mixing desk.
 
Printed in 300 numbered copies on the Gypsy Man Records label, the three colourful, high-weight vinyls are kept in a box set also containing a booklet. They reproduce rare studio recordings made in 1968 and of excellent audio quality as they were taken directly from the mixing desk.
In them Jimi Hendrix (vocals and guitar, bass in "Little Miss Strange", drums in the original version of "New Rising Sun", piano in "Messenger") is joined by the faithful Noel Redding (bass, vocals, guitar on "Little Miss Strange") and Mitch Mitchell (drums) but also, in some tracks, by an unidentified bassist, drummer and second guitarist. In the two jams recorded on October 17, '68 the rhythm section is composed of Jack Bruce on bass and Buddy Miles on drums (also present in the outtake "Rainy Day Shuffle"), while in other pieces Mike Finnigan appears on organ, Larry Faucette on percussion, Jim McCarty on second guitar and Carol Kaye on bass
