La banda sonora de Over the Edge captura el espíritu rebelde y juvenil de la película de culto de 1979. Está llena de influyentes éxitos de rock, incluyendo My Best Friend’s Girly Just What I Needed de The Cars, ambos éxitos del Top 40 y pilares del sonido emergente de la New Wave. La poderosa versión de You Really Got Me de Van Halen y Teenage Lobotomy de los Ramones agregan un toque punk y de hard rock, haciendo de esta banda sonora una instantánea del rock de finales de los 70 que resonó con toda una generación.

The Over the Edge soundtrack captures the rebellious, youthful spirit of the 1979 cult classic film. Packed with influential rock hits, it includes the The Car's “My Best Friend’s Girl” and “Just What I Needed”, both top 40 hits and staples of the emerging New Wave sound. Van Halen’s powerful cover of “You Really Got Me” and the Ramones' “Teenage Lobotomy” add edgy punk and hard rock flair, making this soundtrack a snapshot of late '70s rock that resonated with a generation.
