Tommy es un álbum de la banda sonora de The Who. Las grabaciones se utilizaron en la película Tommy de 1975 que se basó en el álbum original que fue lanzado por The Who en 1969. Pete Townshend supervisó la producción de esta grabación de doble LP que devolvió la música a sus raíces rockeras, y en la que los arreglos orquestales no grabados que había previsto para el LP original de Tommy se realizaron mediante el uso extensivo de sintetizador.
Este lanzamiento del Record Store Day viene en vinilo de doble color alojado en una réplica de la funda original.

This year’s offering for Record Store Day by The Who is the original soundtrack album used in the 1975 Tommy film.

The film is based on the original studio album that was released by The Who in 1969.
Pete Townshend oversaw the production of this double-LP recording that returned the music to its rock roots and features guests such as Sir Elton John, Ann Margret, Ron Wood and Eric Clapton amongst others

This Record Store Day release comes as a 2LP Colour housed in a replica of the original gatefold sleeve.
 
Exclusively for Record Store Day 2025, Tommy - The Original Soundtrack Recording, will be released on double coloured vinyl in its original gatefold sleeve with restored inner liners with full lyrics plus four new full-colour record labels.

The original soundtrack recording of the music from Ken Russell’s 1975 film of Tommy, features orchestral arrangements and includes stunning vocals from Tina Turner, Ann-Margret, Elton John, Roger Daltrey, Jack Nicholson, Eric Clapton, John Entwistle, Keith Moon, Oliver Reed and The Who.
